A lot of the people who read a bestselling novel, for example, do not read much other fiction. By contrast, the audience for an obscure novel is largely composed of people who read a lot. That means the least popular books are judged by people who have the highest standards, while the most popular are judged by people who literally do not know any better....

That really made me giggle. I think it rings true. I won't read the books. a)I just don't have enough time and b) I prefer my vampires to NOT sparkle thank you very much.
Though I do have to admit...I kind of like the movies...in a total OMG eye candy kind of way...>.>
agreed. i hate that i like the movies...a little part of me dies inside every time i watch it >.< lol
As a middle school teacher most of us middle school teachers like it because it does show a good example of how to treat a woman and what a relationship and love should be like. Whether Vampire's sparkle or not, the books are ultimately about the love story.
see, i think the exact opposite: their relationship is unhealthy, its obsessive, edward is way too controlling, bella cant function without edward...its just overall an unhealthy relationship. it tells girls that they MUST be in a relationship to survive, basically.
